has anyone managed to control a piface interface board?

I followed the instructions to install example MCP23017 http://www.homegenie.it/forum/index.php?topic=145.msg691#msg691

but all I get is a NACK error:-

Runtime.Error = "CR: BCM2835_I2C_REASON_ERROR_NACK"

Any advice gratefully received.

Can you detect the piface from the rpi command line?

$ i2cdetect -y 0

If not, maybe you need to follow the directions here?
