Title: How to properly set-up MS13 X10 Motion Sensor
Post by: pim555 on January 13, 2015, 11:20:15 PM
I am using 2 MS13 X10 motion sensors but am wondering how to best set these up in HomeGenie?

I see 2 options:
- set-up the module selecting by its configured address and type sensor
- set-up the module as virtual module and enter the RF on and off codes

Option 1 seems to work as the RF format is properly interpreted by HG and the command is executed.

What would be the reason to use a virtual module? Is it needed to set-up MS13?

Cheers
Pim.

I can't think of one if the controller sees the RF commands as X10 commands.  I would only use a virtual module if the RF is not recognized such as security modules.

Thanks, I was under the impression that HG did not decode RF at all but apparantly that holds for security modules only?
