Title: HG udate from r507 to 509a
Post by: petediscrete on January 04, 2016, 05:08:10 PM
Been away for the last week so just noticed update r508,r508a,r509,r509a. Tried the update manager but after much effort only managed to get as far as r508.I opted for the manual download off the download site and removed HG rc508 and installed r509a.Not sure if there's a problem with the built in HG update manager at the moment.

I updated yesterday and it worked fine.  The update does take some time and my RPi cpu usage spiked after the update until I reboot (possibly unrelated).  Downloading and installing manually should work just as well and possibly faster.

It was showing errors fetching the update and was just spinning around. I tried a number of times with the same result. I often find that if I've missed the incremental updates this happens and it's quicker to manually update by deleting HG and installing the latest release.
