I have two devices setup with scheduled on and off times. Both are living room lights and should turn on at sunset, so have set the on time as @Sunset. The are both meant to then switch off at 11:30pm, so I created a schedule named Bedtime; 30 23 * * *. Neither of these tasks are work for me at present.

As far as i can see I've followed the guide right. What can I check to get this resolved?

3 things to check.

  • Is the Scheduled Events script enabled (green or yellow circle).  If it's red or gray then it is broken or disabled.
  • Is the Scheduled On/Off tab turned on for your module.  Make sure you have a check box in the "Control device on a given schedule" checked.
  • Make sure the cron event (Sunrise or Bedtime) enabled.  There needs to be a check mark on the right side of the Scheduler item.  If it's a triangle, click it to enable.
If all of that is good, I'd recommend viewing the mono output to see what's happening at the time that the event SHOULD be firing.
