Title: Virtual modules not working
Post by: Bostjan on December 20, 2015, 06:49:49 PM
Hi,

I have Philio in-wall dual relay switch PAN04-2. Since is has two switches inside it must be used as virtual modules inside Homegenie. However I have big problems make it work. Problem number one is that only in one version of Homegenie I managed to see virtual modules as available module (as 5.1 and 5.2 modules). All other versions of Homegenie fails to detect and offer me virtual modules. Further, automation program "Multi instance/channel virtual modules" is running - at least I hope it does. This brings me to my first question. How do i know that program is running? So far I could see 4 colors of icon at the left of program description. Gray obviously means program is not running and green means it is running. But what does yellow and blue mean? are there any other states possible?

And my second question is about description of program "Multi instance/channel virtual modules" which says that "..It requires that manufacturer specific get has been issued on the node". What does that exactly means? That I should issue "Get" command in z-wave setup window? Only once? I did and it didn't help.

Please help,
Bostjan Erzen

Hi after more research I found out that Philio PAN04 is strange module as it only reports back state change for instance 1 (S1 ans S2 together) but never for S1 and S2 individually. So when changing S1 ans S2 manually by pressing hardware button, z-wave SW only get's info that status has changed, but then it's up to SW to pull which has actually changed, S1 or S2.

But my question about meaning of the color of the icon on the left side of program still remains. Anyone?

From memory:

Yellow - idle
Blue - running in background
Greeen - running
Bright red - error
Dim red - not running error
Gray - not enabled

Hi Bostjan,

Did you figure out how to get S1 and S2 status separately in HG? I have a similar issue with a ZL7432 multi-instance switch and am looking for a solution.

Thanks.
