HG is able to query them but there doesn't appear to be much functionality available. Is anyone else using them?

It might work with the thermostat code.  It looks like a radiator valve that can be controlled by zwave, so you'd need to have HG know the actual and set point temperatures.

They do indeed appear as a Thermostat, with the options Off or Heat. The current temperature is displayed and you can enter a set point for heating. So they are there or thereabouts. HomeGenie receives updates fine, what I can't seem to understand is why I'm not able to make changes.

If I press the wake up button and then send an On or Off command the unit responds and performs the task. If I just send the On of Off command nothing happens, even when the StellaZ wake's up to report it's temperature.

My plan is to switch off radiators as they are not needed.

Sounds like an issue with the valves going into sleep mode.  I don't use zwave but have read through various zwave threads and that sounds like a common problem.  Apparently there is some kind of setting for timeout and sleep, but I can't help you on that.  If you wake the device up and sending the command then works, I'd say that's a very likely source of your issue.
