Hi all,
I have the following alarm system:
- FA147C Panel (http://www.alarmhow.net/manuals/First%20Alert/FA147C/FA147C%20Installation%20Manual.pdf (http://www.alarmhow.net/manuals/First%20Alert/FA147C/FA147C%20Installation%20Manual.pdf))
- MPI-11 Siren (http://www.amazon.com/GE-Security-MPI-11-Powerful-2-Channel/dp/B003XZV5OY (http://www.amazon.com/GE-Security-MPI-11-Powerful-2-Channel/dp/B003XZV5OY))
- Two keypads with circuit boards labeled sa6128-2, which appear to be Ademcos after some searching
- Numerous wired window/door/motion sensors
I would like to integrate my alarm system into HG, and I'm trying to figure out the best method. Does anyone know if there are add-on boards that would work? I know the FA147C has an add-on to support X10 sensors from that manual, but couldn't find anything about exporting the signals to anything.
Ideally, this would work with Z-Wave since that's the only other thing I'm using at the moment.
If I need to replace the board, is there a cost effective way to do that, leveraging the existing keypads? Or is there a way to integrate a keypad that has Z-wave, and keep the existing board?
Thanks!

This works great with ADEMCO panels.

This looks extremely promising, thanks. Two questions:
- Have you ever tried to run this through a non-powerd HUB, I.E. not directly connected to the computer/Rasberry Pi?
- Are the faults interpretable via "programs" in HG? For instance, if a window sensor faults, does it fire off a code that is recognizable for which sensor is triggered that could be used to automate a function in that room?
Thanks!

1). I have not tried that, but as far as I know the AD2USB is powered by the alarm panel. I run this with USB over a 100ft Ethernet cable without problems.
2). HG, using this app, create virtual sensor for each alarm sensor so you can use it to drive events. Fore example I use the garage door sensor to switch on the garage lights and I created an additional app that makes HG say things like "Front Door Open" based on the virtual sensors.
