I installed r495 this afternoon and everything looked good after restoring my backup. I logged onto the web interface this evening and HG is empty for some reason. I tried to restore the backup and was told that there was no data in the backup. I tried restoring the previous backup and was told the same thing.
After moving the /usr/local/bin/homegenie directory, reinstalling, and restoring the backup, I have things working again. I'm hoping this isn't a bug and just a fluke, but this is what happened to me...

No problem on my side. I use a backup from r494, and use the deb file.

I installed 496 this morning and didn't have any issue, so hopefully this was a fluke.

I tried installing the windows 495/496(?) beta yesterday (9/20) but I can't seem to get it to accept my backup (created with 493 I think).
The install seems to work, I see the default dashboard. Then try to restore my setup, but it never finishes. Rebooted, HG site never loads. Try to uninstall HG and this fails. Try to delete the HG install folder but processes/services are still running (which ones to kill???). I went through this a couple times and never did work.

When I had this issue, I tried to delete the install folder and go back to 493. However, HG said a newer version was installed. So, once you go to 495 or 496 you can't go back apparently. In any case, I reinstalled 495 and it let me restore my backup so it might have been a bad install.

hi kevin,
495/496 can restore backup file format from previous releases. Remove old files/folder before installing new hg.

Downloaded 496 again. Uninstalled HG. Installed 496; default modules load. Restore from backup, never finishes. I tried this a couple times with just one of my modules, same result.
Is there a way to revert the default configuration files without uninstall/reinstall?
