Title: Garage Door Opener

Anyone have a good scheme to check on garage door status?  I have a MyQ opener but it doesnt seem like accessing that data is very easy...   from what i can tell.

I haven't done much looking, but it appears that access to the state is possible via an API through the MyQ cloud.

I have the ecolink garage door sensor.  Works well for me.  I'm able to open and close the door using a relay and transistor attached to my pi.

May not answer your question, but figure give an option if you decide to go a different route.
