Hi everyone, I'm new here! I just loaded up HomeGenie today and tried to hook it into a few devices.

I have Fibaro's initial USA release of their door/window sensor (FGK-101) and the RGBW sensor (FGRGBWM-441).

I can't seem to get either of them to work properly with HG. I see there is some sort of automated application for the RGBW controller, but when I load the app up into the interface and click on it, nothing pops up. When I click on the 'dimmer' version of the zwave device, I get a percentage bar and I can modify the last selected color. I found I can change the color if I go back into settings and modify the Multi Instance/Channel Instance/Channel Num. (2-5) for each individual color 0-99 (for light percentage). This isn't remotely an optimal way to do this!

As for the door/window sensor, I can't seem to make heads or tails of it and there's supposed to also be a temperature sensor, if the sensor I attached is even working! :/

Thanks for any ideas here!

Hi,

For used Fibaro RGBW you have to start FibaroRGBW task in Scenarios. It's create a virtual module FibaroRGBW with the same node number of the original node.
But actually HG cannot insert automatically the 5 virtuals nodes needed for the work correctly. In fact there is no answer of MultiInstance GetCount by Fibaro module.
So If you need I can send you a modified version of FibaroRGBW scripting that include these automatically.

Cheers
Dani

Hi, Dani

I can't find "Scenarios".

FibaroRGBW is enabled under "Devices and Things"

Where do I go from here, to make it work?

Kind regards,

Hi there,

Fibaro RGBW app has been moved to "Z-Wave" automation group (starting from r415).
Also after activating it, HG should add some virtual devices associated to the rgbw node.
As I don't have Fibaro RGBW so I think that dani is the one here to ask to for more details =)

Cheers,
g.

Hi, Gene

Thanks, found the location.

Issue is:

When I add the Node, I see 2 notifications :

Program.Notify ( "Z-Wave Node WakeUp", "4 MultiInstance Get" )
Program.Notify ( "Z-Wave Node WakeUp", "4 Basic Get" )

I can then only add 1 Dimmer, with no colour hue change, under Groups and Modules. One should be able to have access to 4 dimmers, with colour change. If you add the one, it is no longer listed to add more.

Thanks,

Eugene

Hi,

I have also managed to get it working over the weekend.

I upgraded to R416, rebooted. Then I also picked up on what I think the reason was: I had 2 plug-ins for Fibaro RGBW, in 2 different places. I noted a refence from Gene re PID1000, so I disabled the one that was PID. I should have left PID503 running and removed the manually added PID1000.

I can now control colours and use manual switches.

Thanks, so much.

Kind regards,

Eugene
