The qubino flush dimmer has te possibility to add 2 more inputs then the switch itself. I want to ad a pulse switch to start the scene a lights off in a specific room. But if I add the 2nd switch, even the first one doesn't work anymore. It only switches the light on, but not off. I have to turn off the light through the user interface from homegenie. Does it have anything to do with the multilevel settings? See screenshot

Hello
I am a newbe I am using a Aeon Lab Gen 5 stick to contrail my 3 Z-Wave Qubino Flush Dimmer Plus.
I am trying to get 1st, 2nd and 3rd inputs visible as separate controls on HG. I have the output (the bulb) viable, and can control dimming and on off.
Is there a guide any where?

Hi,
Did you enable "program"->"zwave"->"Multi Instance/Channel Virtual Modules" ?

Hi
I think its active,
Multi Instance/Channel Virtual Modules has a blue LED next to it and I have reset it.

What is meant by "It requires that a manufacturer specific get has been issued on the node"?

Hi,
You can do that by doing a "get" in the configuration of the node.
"configure"->"group"->your group->your device->parameter->"Set up"->"Get"

Hello
Every time I try and "get" in the configuration of the node i get "No device info was found for manufacturer ID = 0159:0001:0051."
But I have set parameters 1 & 2 successfully to '1' (bi-stable switch type) and I have set parameters 100 and 101 to '1'  (so the switch inputs l2 l3 are Home Security).
So I can set the unit up.
Without no device info is this what could be stopping me seeing all the device inputs?
bye

Hi,
Yes it can ... your qubino module is set to manage several switch, but HomeGenie have to identify, this module can ...

It's pretty weird you can "get" this device, because it doesn't need to be wake up (not powered by battery).
Last chance can be to :
1/ dis-asociate
2/ associate again
Of your zwave controller

Good luck

Hello
I have trued to "dis-asociate" (I used 'remove node') but when I add node again it just get a new number every time, and its not removed from HG.
So I reset all units and the controller (Aeon Labs Gen 5 stick). Then removed and reinstalled HG.
Then added node back on and eventually got "Get" to find the device.
But still no  L1, L2 and L3 switches. but I do have a nice pic of the unit in the "get" area.

In Multi instance/channel only "instance/channel num " = 1 get a response without timing out.

I can set node 4 L2 to switch on node 5 bulb using Group 5.

But still nothing in add module.

But looks like I can see it in the log:
2016-08-18 23:34:55.9430 Debug ZWaveMessage (RawData=01-09-00-04-00-04-03-30-03-FF-39)

2016-08-18 23:34:55.9430 Debug NodeUpdated (NodeId=4    Parameter=SensorGeneric    Value=255)

Ian

Mod: Sorry did not say when I switch L2 a popup with node 4 225 (for on) or N4 0.00 (off) appears.

Hi,
And when you with L1 and L3 which message in popup do you have ?
It seems that there is something missing in HG ... But your log didn't show this problem ...

Did some use this module successfully ?

Can you find this module on www.pepper1.net/zwavedb/ (use by HG) ?

Hello

When L1 is switched on the pop up has on it "Lights SwitchedMultilevel ZWave 4  99.00"
When  L1 is switched off  the pop up has on it "Lights SwitchedMultilevel ZWave 4  0.00".

When L2 is switched on the pop up has on it "Lights Basic ZWave 4  255.00" then it changes to "Lights Generic ZWave 4  255.00"
When L2 is switched off  the pop up has on it "Lights Basic ZWave 4  0.00" then it changes to "Lights Generic ZWave 4  255.00".

When L3 no pop up.

I cant find Qubino as a manufacture in the list on that page(s)
but the correct part number comes up under the "get" please see attached pic..

Hi,
So now you seems you have a correct manufacturer ... But you still don't have 1st, 2nd and 3rd inputs visible as separate controls in HG, is it true ?

The muliInstance program code is based on the value :
  • ZWaveNode.MultiInstance.SwitchBinary.Count
  • ZWaveNode.MultiInstance.SwitchBinary.1
  • ZWaveNode.MultiInstance.SwitchBinary.2
  • ZWaveNode.MultiInstance.SwitchBinary.3
Associate to the device.

You can check this value is well set by using "Parameters" Menu of the device (just on right os "settings") and check in the list you have the previous value set.

With your popup informations, it seems that Qubino doesn't manage like the program "MultiInstance" is designed ....
Bye

Ok so the program "multiinstance" can work for your device...
But your device existe on pepperonedb:
http://pepper1.net/zwavedb/device/866

Did you set parameter 20 to 1 (instead 0) ?

Hello
that is great news I can use "multiinstance but sorry how?

Parameter 20 - If my understanding was correct I thought this was for when you had two switch controlling one light e.g. on a staircase you have the light in the middle and a light switch at the top and bottom of the staircase.
If you wanted this mode then set to 1 but if you are only using one switch then set to 0.
So I set it to 0.

My mistake sorry "can't".

So probably my mistake too, I think the module can control 3 light... But it's just dimmer one, with I1 a dimmer switch or simple switch connected to I1 and one other switch to I2 and one other switch to I3.
So no need of multiinstance...
Did you have in HG a dimmer for your device ? Which can control you level light ?
