Hi to all,
I don't have an ip webcam...So I want use an old android phone with this app "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pas.webcam&hl=it".
I can see in a browser, in the same lan, the video, the app works very well, but when in the "IP webcam APP"(generic IP camera) of homegenie I insert the link I can't see nothing...

"Camera image API URL (see your camera docs)"
http://192.168.1.106:8080
or
http://192.168.1.106:8080/browserfs.html (full screen in the browser)

Someone have an idea for setting it correctly?

thank

I'm having exactly the same setup and with the same problem. Although viewing from a browser is feasible when entering the link in HG I get a blank window (dark backgroung) for 2 sec and then appears like a broken link.

If anyone can suggest somethign ..

Thank you

The IP Camera URL must point directly to the the IMAGE URL, not to the page containing it.

Cheers,

Hi rmitsos,
did you find the solution?

I think with the IPWebcam app it's impossible open directly the IMAGE URL(I tried different URL), so I created a Favourite.Link in the dashboard, when I want to open the webcam I have a short link to http://192.168.1.106:8080/browserfs.html (full screen in the browser)

I have done this a few months ago (same app) and had troubles getting it working as well.  It seems like eventually it just starts working. IPWebcam has various access URL's to get to the image, and none of them worked as expected.  I will try it again soon.
