Hi,

I am new to HomeGenie and so far it is going well. I am mainly interested in lighting. I am using all linear (http://www.linearcorp.com/wireless_security.php#zwave) Switches. I think they make Evolve switches. I have 8 dimmers (WD500Z-1), 8 - 3 way/accessory (WT00Z-1), and 6 - On/Off Switches (WS15Z-1).

My problem is that I want to have a few dimmers and on/off switches turn off after a set amount of seconds (Turn off Delay). These switches are not showing up their status. So I searched the forum and saw the Polling option. I turned that on and now I see the updates to all my switches, but it doesn't turn the lights off. I think the poll timer is resetting the timer for the auto-off. How do I get my switches to show their state changes?

I looked in the switches configuration and checked the manual for the switches and they don't support association which the accessory (WT00Z-1) do. What is suppose to happen so the switches work without polling?

Thanks.

So maybe I can make my question more generic.

How does HomeGenie report the status of switches? Do they have to be associated with HomeGenie?

Also does the Z-Wave polling module conflict with "Turn off delay"?

Too bad, I am not sure what mains connected dimmers actually support that. I know GE/Jasco, Linear and Evolve don't. Does anyone else use mains connected dimmers with HomeGenie?

So I have tried a few other HA servers and they all don't have issues keeping the status of the switches up to date. I think without being able to use polling I am going to have to move on to another server. I am sad because it almost has all the features I am looking for.

Well it is the behavior I am seeing and here is another post that seems to say the same thing. http://www.homegenie.it/forum/index.php?topic=30.msg109

How can this be changed?
