If you didn't create a backkup or make a copy the HG directory prior to installation, I don't know of any way to restore your files.  When you install from the command line, it overwrites all files.  Ive done this before so I can sympathize.  At this point, I keep a backup for pretty much any change I make to the system.

There is a thread about the notifications.  I thought they were working on mine but can't remember the last time I saw one actually display so maybe they aren't.

I just wrote a test script and it did generate a popup.

I have mono 3.2.8, the "default" of raspbian jessie

yesterday i try a repo with mono 4 to try and see if the problem is mono and a loose all the homegenie install again, because mono4 don't have corlib2 (i guess is that) so i return to default mono install

Yesterday I downloaded latest raspbian wheezy, installed it with HG on my second RPi. The result is HG running with mono 3.2.8 and there's no such issue. Go figure out why.
Which locale have you set?
Type the "locale" command and paste the output here.

Code: [Select]
$ mono --version
Mono JIT compiler version 3.2.8 (Debian 3.2.8+dfsg-4+rpi1)

Disabled:      none
Misc:          softdebug

$ locale

it would be also useful if you'd post the HG log. Always useful.....

oh-oh... I then suppose that you need a wheezy install. But I wonder why dani (see the TESTING RELEASE thread) that is running jessie, is not having the "disconnected" issue.

hi codemind,

I'm trying to find a work-around for the "connect/disconnect" error that will work on all platforms.
For the weather undergound, that error moslty indicates that the location name is not found by the weather service.
Try to put "auto" as the location.

I've the fix for the connect/disconnect issue.
You can replace the attached file in the homegenie folder (stop hg, replace file and restart hg), or if you prefer just wait for next hg update (in a couple of days perhaps).
