I have created a module to control Yamaha RX Series receivers.  Works very well and possibly works with additional Yamaha Receivers.  The code can be added to to include a number of additional functions but on and off were my only concerns so that is all I put in.  Hope others find this useful.

This is a more complete version with code clean up and corrections.  Please let me know if there are any issues.

This was a great start for me, thanks! I've modified it to be able to read the status of the power, volume, input and DSP, which I use to trigger lighting scenes in my theater. There's no custom interface for it yet, but I'll update this when I have it further along.
