How about a thread to share deals/sales/good buys on HG compatible devices. Since different frequencies and shipping, maybe have separate threads for different regions? Please edit/delete if sale ends or price goes back up.

Lowes in US apparently is switching out GE Z-wave models and the old ones can possibly be purchased for $10 each. Seems to vary by store, but GE outlets, toggles and outdoor modules all have been purchased for $10 or less.

BloomSky is offering selected applicants a free weather station (normally $230) through 2/10: http://community.bloomsky.com (http://community.bloomsky.com)
Not sure if it is available outside US. It has temp, humidity, precipitation, UV, HD sky camera, WiFi (with JSON API).

I just got my unit and got it set up yesterday. It's much bigger than expected. I can't imagine hanging it off roof siding as it seems like wind would tear it off. Maybe if it was into a 2x4, but certainly not a fascia board! It doesn't seem to allow any way to obtain information from it locally even though I thought I read that was possible. I currently have it located in my field ~100ft from the router and it seems to be working ok. I realized after ordering it that there is no easy way to see the information from a browser and it doesn't have a history that I can see either. I'm not sure what the point of this thing is if I can't track trends. It seems like it's a bit of a gimmick but the camera could be cool. I have it aimed at sunrise and we'll see if it produces any nice time laps images. They require 6 months active or they will charge ~$250 (the cost of the unit), so hopefully they don't break easily.

FYI... some (http://www.bing.com/search?q=smart+thermostat+rebate) utility providers offer rebates for consumer purchase of Smart/Wifi/ZWave Thermostats (as well as partial rebates for other HVAC equipment upgrades). I purchased a CT100 thermostat, submitted form and receipt online then quickly received a rebate check for the entire cost ($72) of it from my natural gas utility company. Free :-)
