Hi, all

I have bought a cheap Xenon SM-a702a Door / Window sensor from China. Have added to Homegenie, but not working, due to not being listed in PepperDB.

What to do?

No device info was found for manufacturer ID = 0000:0003:0001.

Although I have different door sensors, mine aren't listed in PepperDB either and work just fine.  PepperDB is used to download data specific to the device for ease of setup... the Command Classes that the device supports are what drive HG's actions, and that is sent to HG by the device (in the ZWave NIF during inclusion).

This may fix it:

1) Manually set the module in HG as a "Door/Window" sensor type.

2) These typically support the Association class, AFAIK. Make sure that the device is associated with the controller, otherwise HG will never see traffic from the device.  To do that:

  a. Go back into Setup, and ignore the PepperDB error.

  b. You should have an Association section.

  c. Keep Group ID as 1, and put "1" under "Add or remove a node in this group", then click ADD.  You'll need to wake the device for this to succeed (either remove the cover -or- push a button).

  d. To make sure, wake it again, then click GET.  You should see "Node id in this group=?" change to "Node id in this group=1".

  e. HG should now be seeing open/close alerts.

Good luck.
