Security device - odd number in center of icon

I apologize in advance if this is a real journeyman question but can you explain the idea behind the digit in the center of the RF sensor icon? I'm not sure what it means and I don't seem to see it change. I am using Home Genie (thank you for such a great product!) with a RaspPi just fine with some old RF X10 security window/door switches but this icon oddity has me perplexed.

First you can change the device type from "sensor " to "doorwindow".
