Well nolio,

the first example is to be used as a good display for your HomeGenie server with the plus of having thermostat funcionalities and infrared transceiving too.
If you add then to the prototyping area some buttons, you can program them as quick acces for activating scenarios and/or lights.
Also consider it has an arduino inside, so lot of examples of use already available on the net.

Cheers,
g.

Hi Gene,

Oki about :
... with the plus of having thermostat funcionalities ...
How can control temperature ?
I don't see any button, variate on it. Perhaps by adding one ...

I will probably part of this version, it seems that you will "sell" some, true ?
Do you have an approximative idea of the price ? And the number you will have ?

Bye

Yes buttons... I was thinking of adding buttons for controlling contextual menu options on the display... but I'm still thinking about it =) I will post updates about that.
And no, this is not going for sale, but sent to user who donate at least $12 to the HomeGenie project (only the PCB).
Perhaps an Eden V3 could be sold... but there's a lot of road to do yet. I need to grow my experience.

Cheers,
g.

I use the brackets for sell, because I was thinking about something like this.
So now crystal clear.
Thanks.

Hi nolio,

added the buttons and created example that will be available with next HG update =)

HomeGenie - Raspberry Pi - How to setup Ssd1306 oled display with an interactive menu

This works both with Eden V1 and V2.

Happy New Year =)

Gene,

That seems a good start for the thermostat function :).

Did you see this project on raspberry pi ?

Are any Eden v2 boards available?  I need to get HG off our laptop, the fan is too loud to keep running all the time.  With a pi and Eden I think I could get all my planned sensors in one unit. I was thinking about using the mySensors.org setup too and they also use Arduino pro mini.

Yes 8 Eden V2 boards left. But these are old revision withouth the IR route jumper.
To get one, just donate €10 (shipping and production costs).
