Title: UI modification request to aid smaller (7") touch screens
Post by: enterprised on August 15, 2015, 05:20:44 PM
Now that cheap 7" Android tablets are a real good option for touch screen controllers running the standard HG web interface (UI) I like to request a small change to the UI to aid the use of these smaller touch screens. (see attached picture for detail)

This is the tablet I'm using:

No need to enlarge those buttons. They are the same higher size than On/Off buttons of switch and light.
And there is another way to open dropped menus, only drag you finger anywhere on the screen :
- From right to left for open Home menu
- From Left to right for open Configure Menu.

The sliding bit works. :) :) :)

The reason for my top bar/button size request was that the Android top menu bar renders the buttons unusable when you run the browser in full screen mode. They overlap and the Android menu always pops up when you aim for the buttons. :(

Still I would like to see a permanent status bar replacing the status pop-up window. Could be a set-up option to select between pop-up or bar for status display. Hope Gene or one of the other talented programmers can make this happen.
