I finally got it to work!
All I did was I removed it from my network and added it again... For some reason it was given a different node ID... Now it reports open / closed status properly and my lights start blinking when the system is armed and I open the door!
In the meantime I got my siren to work so all that's left is to test both together...

... And the alarm went off within a couple of seconds :)
All good! I wanted this to be ready before my trip to the USA and it is :)
