it's a universal app, so it runs on the same code as the windows phone app that's currently in beta

Way to go! It makes a lot of sense to have one app that will deploy to phones, tablets and desktops...

this won't work on linux. it's an app for the Windows Store. I have no linux experience so I'm afraid I won't be able to port it, but it's open source so feel free to have a look :)

Ok. I was just joking.
I have my main desktop computer under ubuntu, but i doesn't really need an APP on it.
Indeed, my first APP search on my small laptop on windows 8.1 was HomeGenie ;) :).
