Hello again,

When initially setting up HomeGenie and Z-wave (Aeon Labs Z-Stick Series 2) I made the mistake of pairing my switches to the Z-Stick while they were sitting next to the HomeGenie/Z-Stick on the table. I then successfully tested them there for several days.

When I moved the switches to their permenant locations, some didn't work, because they were out of line-of-sight range, and I had no way to repair the network to get the routing table in the Z-Stick updated. I eventually gave up and completely reinstalled HomeGenie, in the process losing (in addition to the z-wave) the configuration info for about 25 X10 modules.

Two questions:
Are there any plans to add Z-Wave diagnostic or repair tools to HomeGenie?

Is anyone aware of any stand-alone diagnostic or repair tools for Z-wave that would work with my Z-Stick?

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can provide.

I can't help with your questions, but I can recommend using the backup utility to save your setup so you don't lose your configuration in the future.  It takes a couple minutes to generate on raspi (it looks like it doesn't work, but it just takes a while) but it is extremely useful!

Would also like to see diagnostic and repair functionality with z-wave.

Saw that it exists an library OpenZwave, maybe that already have repair and implementing this into homegenie will be faster?

In configuration > Maintainance and Updates

There is a Remote Modules Routing "Reset" option which will reset the mapping for the network nodes on z-wave devices..
