I've been running HG on a Raspberry Pi for a couple of weeks.  It worked well, but the web pages were slow to load.  I decided to run it on a faster computer so the interface would be snappier.  I installed r370 on a server running Ubuntu 12.04.4.  It appears to have installed successfully, but when I go to the Configure | Automation page, all the groups are empty.  What would cause my initial configuration to be messed up this way?  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I got the same result.

I had this problem. I solved it by upgrading to Ubuntu 14.04

Upgrading to 14.04 solved it for me too.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey all,

Signed up purely to update this and let you know that I had the same.
I really didn't want to rebuild my newly built linux box (currently running Debian 7.7).

Anyhow, it was down to the default mono being 2.0 and not 3.0.
(or at least that's what it was for me).

I followed this tutorial and installed mono-complete. this gave me Mono 3.x, which after a reboot - resolved my issues.

Hope that helps someone else, as this really wrecked my head!

Cheers!
GD.
