I purchased these GoControl WADWAZ-1 door window sensors in a set for great price but having trouble getting them working.  They are also branded as GoControl / Linear / Nortek / 2Gig.  These do not appear to be in the pepper db from what I can tell.  http://www.nortekcontrol.com/product_detail.php?productId=1739

Manual: http://www.nortekcontrol.com/pdf/manuals/WADWAZ_install.pdf

They have reed sensor, tamper switch and external switch connection.  HG recently started showing the following in the setup:

Supported Classes: Alarm, Association, Battery, Manufacturer Specific, Sesnor Binary, Version, WakeUp

With the cover on they are asleep and HG doesn't see them.  With cover off the LED comes on and after pressing the tamper switch I eventually get HG to see them.  I'm getting inconsistent behavior.  HG never reports the reed switch status as many times as I have tried with cover on or off.  Sometimes it displays open, sometimes closed after tapping the tamper.  It usually displays battery 100% sometimes 83%.  Currently HG is showing TAMPER though the cover is back on (screenshot attached).

With the cover on, the reed switch open/close should wake the sensor and transmit to HG immediately correct?

They reportedly work with SmartThings:  https://community.smartthings.com/t/gocontrol-sensors-siren/13559/9  and openhab has a "binding": https://github.com/openhab/openhab/blob/0ca751504d050b1059988f47280dc89e832e3e54/bundles/binding/org.openhab.binding.zwave/database/linear/wadwaz-1.xml

Has anyone used these with HG or gotten them to work? Any tips how to get them working?

Thanks!

Well one of these is actaully showing the door status correctly and promptly upon closing the reed switch with magnet.  Unfortunately it also shows TAMPER at same time door opens and that does not go away.

Log attached running HG r493.

Node3 is door sensor
Node5 is door sensor
Node7 is PIR motion sensor
Node9 is Fire/CO Alarm
Node11 is Outdoor Switch

Not getting an help :-(  Wish we had a bigger community.

So I am poking around in the logfile and not sure what to look for.  How to decode these messages, where to learn about these details of ZWave protocols?
Code: [Select]
3 ZWave Node ZWaveNode.NodeInfo 04 20 01 71 85 80 72 30 86 84
3 ZWave Node Sensor.Alarm 2  //tamper?
3 ZWave Node Sensor.Alarm 3  //not tamper?
3 ZWave Node Status.Level 1  //open
3 ZWave Node Status.Level 0  //closed
5 ZWave Node ZWaveNode.NodeInfo 04 20 01 71 85 80 72 30 86 84
5 ZWave Node ZWaveNode.ManufacturerSpecific 014F:2001:0102

Help much appreciated, thanks in advance!
