I'm currently running version 1.1 Beta r496 on Win10 desktop and very good it is too!
However, the Update manager in the Configure/System/Maintenance/System Options path is not detecting new version.
Can I fix this?
Also previously, the update manager never managed to update the version. I've always had to manually install updates and thereby loose my configuration and had to recreate? Is there something I am supposed to configure that I am not aware of to make this work "automatically" as it were?
Thanks.

Hi,
There is no update since a long time (r493), so you have to update by installing again.
The update manager check the file in the following web site :
http://sourceforge.net/projects/homegenie/files/_updates/ (http://sourceforge.net/projects/homegenie/files/_updates/)
So not a bug of your update manager ! :)

Thank nolio, that explains my confusion!
Is there any way of keeping my configuration so that I don't have to re-enter it each time I upgrade? I noticed a backup option. Does that work between HG versions?

Yes the backup/restore function work between version (exept bug ;)). I always use this method, it work perfectly.
Don't forget to check the check box of your script when you restore.

OK, thanks, I'll give it a go.

Cheers nolio, that all worked and was relatively painless. The restore dialogue never stopped egg timing though. I eventually closed down browser and opened up HG again and it was all restored into the new version. Happy days!
