Title: Checking public IP address

I was wondering if the following program was still functional. I've tried using it without any success. I'm using the modified version further down the post which requests your email address. I changed the public IP address myself, and it still doesn't send me an email to report this

I've no problem receiving alarm activation email notification in HG so I know it's not my email configuration.

The version I posted (modified from the OP of that thread) is what I currently use.  It has worked great for me on my RPi for a long time without issue.

Nolio's solution in App Contributions worked a treat. Changed the path to /tmp/ip.log and the program is firing off emails to me now. Thanks.
