Title: HG and add a second aeon labs keyfob

Hi,
I added my first keyfob with an old version of HG and i don't have any trouble.
But i try to add my second one with the latest HG (r343) :
 - i can add
 - but i can't have a response about the manufacturer (like you can see in the capture joint).

After some exclusions/inclusions, i have the same problem.
I try some debugging but nothing help, i have notice this things :

You have to wake up the keyfob before pressing the Get button. Otherwise it won't respond.

Hi,
Now the "get" works, you are right, thanks you (i do a mistake of noob:|).

But i still have trouble :(
Now when i change the mode to "scene mode" and press what else button, the led light in red and no "zwave" in the log of HG.
So not a problem with HG but problem a problem between my keyfob and the z-stick.

The association and compatibility in zwave is not very useful ... (actually 2 problems with 2 zwave equipments ...).

Hi,
I solved my problem with my keyfob. I just put the "Variable Id" 250 to 1, and it works.
I don't understand why because i didn't find any information about this "parameter"/"variable", but it works !!!
And i hope it can help someone ...

THANK YOU!  I had the same issue and implemented the same hack.  I would add that it seemed like my Minimote was unresponsive after being queried during the "awake" period of thirty seconds.  It seemed like I had to wait for the period to elapse and re-awaken it to giv it subsequent commands.  Since there is really poor feedback from the unit itself to include Bonny lights that don't seem to match the description in the online manual even with the latest firmware, I can't confirm this.

Hi all,

Maybe I'm crazy, but I still can't get this to function. Attached are a couple of screenshots. I've got the Minimote paired, it's showing up as node 6 and the manufacturer specific id was pulled in. It even put "1" in Variable Id for me. But now what?

Pressing buttons on the remote does nothing, and being new to HG I'm just not sure what to do from here. (I.E. have I missed a step, or am I experiencing the problems above).

-  "value"= 1
- "Set" button

You have to "wake up" your mini-mote by pressing long time a button.

I must be really stupid as i´m not able to make it work..........

If i press the button for a long time it gives all the values to HG, but after that, i can press any button and it doesn´t receive anything.

I´ve tried to set the value to 1 as indicated by nolio, but remains the same

What i´m doing wrong?

Did you try to switch mode by using one of the 2 rear buttons ?

Hi,
Pretty weird, did you try to take a look in HG log in z-wave part ?
Perhaps, you can try to dissociate and associate again..

Hi,

I´ve tried several times, reinstalling HG and also resetting the controller and associating it again.

It happens the same with another keyfob that i´ve got, that was the reason why i bought the aeotec keyfob, because i saw in the forum it was working to other people...

I´ve just checked the logs after pressing the buttons and i can´t see any keyfob entry.

I would try again to dissociate and associate and check if there is something different.

Hi,
I use 2 keyfob in previous HG version a long time ago.
But I didn't try since a long time, because the battery key fob is dead after 1 month :-(.

I can try again in severals weeks when I will be back home...

Hi VuSake,

Sorry for late feedback ...

I just do the following test :
1/ Press a button on the first keyfob => HomeGenie PopUp => Ok
2/ Press a button on the second keyfob => HomeGenie PopUp => Ok

So it works on my side with "HomeGenie Version 1.1 beta r521".

Can you solve your problem ?
