I purchased a CM11A controller so that I could control a few lamp modules through HomeGenie and I cant seem to get the CM11A properly connected. I am using a usb to serial adapter on a windows PC. the adapter shows up in device manager as Com 4 and that is what I have it set at in HomeGenie. Does anyone have experience with this, or know of a better way I could test it? Thank you very much.

I am using an old CM11a and it is working for me.  Once I had to pull the USB-RS232 out of USB and re-insert.  Then it started working again.  My only reccomendation is to start simple with one lamp switch.  Test it with a RF switch or some other mechanism (try x10 active home software if nothing else to confirm your CM11a is working)....  then focus on the CM11 with HG.

I am having the same issue with the CM11A. I'm not sure if there's any special configuration that needs to happen in HG aside from setting the com port but I cannot get this to work. I know the CM11A unit is working as I have another program I've written (also in C#) that can communicate and send commands. I am using this particular unit: http://www.smarthome.com/x10-cm11a-activehome-computer-interface.html

I've pulled up the HG source-code relating to this unit and the commands look good (don't know what else I was expecting) so I'm guessing it has something to do with how it's setup?
